Mark Friedman is the Founder and Chairman of Fulcrum Property, where he plays an active role in shaping the company’s vision and leading its development strategy.
Under his leadership, Fulcrum has delivered a portfolio of high-quality, design-driven projects recognized by both industry peers and architectural professionals. The firm has received the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Design and Development Award three times, with projects featured in leading publications including Architectural Record, Harvard Design Magazine, The Regional City, and World Architecture.
Mark has also played a key role in major civic initiatives, including efforts to develop the downtown Sacramento entertainment and sports complex for the Sacramento Kings.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and a joint JD/MBA from Stanford University.
Beyond his professional work, Mark is actively involved in civic and charitable organizations. He has served on the boards of CalHumanities, the M.I.N.D. Institute, and the UC Davis Foundation, and is a founding member of the California Infill Federation, which advocates for policies that support sustainable urban development. He was selected as a member of the United States Electoral College in 2008 and was named Sacramentan of the Year in 2015 by the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce.
